On 29 May 2011, a Matrix Recovery Service client had his vehicle stolen from his home in Blairgowrie during a house robbery. Four armed suspects arrived in a white Opel Corse Utility and after taking a few household items, they sped off in the client’s Volkswagen Jetta.
A Matrix client called in at approximately 15:23 to report that she was hijacked in her Ford Focus at her gate, while on her way home from work. There were 4 suspects, 2 of which approached her and one of which was armed. The suspects were driving a white sedan.
On 23 May 2011, a Matrix Recovery Service client and his family were confronted by 4 armed suspects carrying guns, at their home in Vaalpark, Sasolburg. The suspects took some household goods and fled with the client’s Jeep Cheerokee. As soon as the client had a chance and it was safe to do so, he called the Matrix 24 hour call centre to report the incident, which had taken place approximately 1 hour earlier at 21:30.
On Saturday 21 May, a Matrix Recovery Service client went to the East Gate mall as he usually does on the weekend with his wife and daughter. They spent about 3 hours there and then left to go visit an old aged home in Jet Park.

A Matrix Recovery Service client called in on 11 April at about 21:11 to report that his younger brother had just been hijacked. Apparently, a black Golf was following him when armed suspects got out of the vehicle and took control of his Golf 6 GTI.
On 11 April 2011 a Matrix Recovery Service client called in after he had just been notified that one of his drivers had been hijacked. The Mercedes Sprinter 3 was hijacked in Pretoria West while the driver was doing his usual work routine.
On 5 April 2011, a Matrix Recovery Service client phoned in at about 02:20 to report that his driver was hijacked in Orange farm, Vaal Triangle at about 20:00 that evening. The client was only reporting the incident now, as the driver had been taken hostage and only dropped off later in Devland, Johannesburg.

A Toyota Hi Ace was stolen from Richards Bay on 2 July 2010. Matrix Recovery Service was requested to retrieve the vehicle, while the SAPS were put on lookout.
On the 1 July 2010 at 22:26, a Mercedes GL Class was hijacked in Krugersdorp, Gauteng. Unaware of the Hijacking, the owner of the vehicle received a call from Matrix Recovery Service to say that a panic alarm from the vehicle in question had been received.
A vehicle was stolen in Oakdene, Johannesburg. Matrix Recovery Service was requested to dispatch ground and air.
The client requested a recovery after they were notified of an impact alarm and was not able to get hold of the driver. Matrix Recovery Service was requested to dispatch.

3 Suspects Apprehended
A vehicle was hijacked in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. The client called in to request Matrix Recovery Service to retrieve the vehicle.
On 5th June 2010 a house robbery in Brakpan took place. When the suspects left the scene of the crime they took with them a Jeep Cheeroke that belonged to the resident of the house.
A client called in to say that her boss had been hijacked in Alexandra, Sandton. Matrix Recovery Service was requested to dispatch.
A vehicle was stolen in Northcliff, Randburg. Matrix Recovery Services was requested to dispatch ground and air at 15:34.
The client phoned in at 11:42 and reported that his vehicle had been stolen from a building in Bramley, Sandton.
A client requested a recovery of their vehicle as when he phoned the driver there was someone else who kept picking up the calls and he would not allow him to speak to the driver.
A hijacking took place in Randpark Ridge, Randburg on 4 May 2010 and Matrix Recovery Service was requested to dispatch immediately.
A Mazda 3 was taken as a getaway car during a house robbery in Boksburg. The Matrix Recovery Services was requested to dispatch, while lookouts were placed within the SAPS.
The client was contacted due to a panic alarm that was received by our National Operations Centre. After investigation it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen while parked in the Johannesburg CBD area. The Matrix Recovery Services was requested to dispatch ground and air immediately.
The MiX Telematics National Operations Centre was informed of a stolen vehicle and immediately dispatched the Matrix Recovery Services to recover the vehicle, while SAPS lookouts were placed on lookout.

A frantic brother called into the MiX Telematics National Operations Centre to report his sister has just been hijacked in his other brother’s vehicle and shots were fired. All her belongings were left in the vehicle as she ran for her life to safety. The Matrix Recovery Services were immediately dispatched to recover the hijacked vehicle.
The owner of a vehicle’s friend contacted him and said that his vehicle is not parked where he had left it anymore. The owner immediately contacted the MiX Telematics National Operations Centre and the Matrix Recovery Services were dispatched to recover the vehicle.
Two, or more, armed suspects approached a man in Lenasia and hijacked his vehicle. When calling the MiX Telematics National Operations Centre, he described the one suspect as wearing blue tracksuit and white shoes. The Matrix Recovery Services were immediately dispatched to recover the vehicle.
After returning from fetching something at his girfriend’s house in Fairlands, a MiX Telematics customer realised that his vehicle had been stolen. He informed the National Operations Centre and the Matrix Recovery Services were immediately dispatched to recover the stolen vehicle.
The call was received that a vehicle was taken during a house robbery in Kew, Johannesburg. There were two confirmed suspects, but the MiX Telematics customer said that there could have been more as she only saw two suspects.

When exiting a medical centre in Randpark Ridge, Randburg a customer from MiX Telematics discovered that her vehicle was stolen. The Matrix Recovery Services jumped into action to recover the vehicle.

The agent contacted the owner of the vehicle who confirmed that the vehicle was not there anymore so it had been stolen. He was not sure when the vehicle disappeared. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre dispatched the recovery teams to recover the stolen vehicle.

As the driver was leaving Mritini Park two guys showed up at the gate, drew fire arms and ordered the driver out of the vehicle. The two men drove off with the hijacked vehicle.
A driver of a corporate vehicle was parked outside a Fruit and Veg City in Fourways, Sandton. When he returned the vehicle has disappeared from where it was parked. The driver immediately contacted the Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre to report the theft of the vehicle.
A customer of Matrix Vehicle Tracking called in to report a vehicle hijacked in Halfway House, Midrand. During the call the cell phone cut out and the customer could not be contacted again. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking recovery teams were immediately dispatched to start the recovery process of the hijacked vehicle.
The message was relayed by a corporate customer of Matrix Vehicle Tracking that his driver has just been hijacked in Boneoro Park and that the information surrounding the incident was very limited.
A vehicle parked in Melville, Johannesburg was stolen. The owner of the vehicle returned to where the vehicle was parked and noticed the vehicle was gone.
