Matrix Logbook
MiX Telematics has taken all necessary SARS requirements into consideration to make use of our Logbook easy and effective. We are confident that our Logbook meets all SARS requirements. In order to make your logbook a less taxing affair, we’ve upgraded our Logbook feature using the best and newest technology available.
| In order to be able to use this feature, it is required from our Logbook customers to download Adobe Air. This process will take less than ten minutes and is an easy process. Simply follow either one of the two procedures below, depending on whether Adobe Flash Player is installed on your work station. For a full description, download the full document here. | |
| For when Adobe Flash Player is NOT installed: Step 1: you will come onto the Adobe website. Click on the “Download Now” button Step 2: click on the “Run” button to start downloading Adobe Air Step 3: Click on the “I agree” button for terms and conditions. Once you’ve accepted the terms and conditions, downloading will start. |

Once Adobe Air has been downloaded, go back to the “2. Matrix Logbook” button |

| Download of the Matrix Logbook can now start: Step 1: Click on the “Matrix Logbook” button Step 2: Click the “OK” button. You will now see the application installer opening Step 3: Click on the “Install” button. If you wish a different location than the default location, please feel free to choose a different location. Step 4: Click on the “Continue” button. You will now see the installation process starting. |

Once the download process has been completed, the Matrix Logbook will automatically open and you will see a Matrix Logbook icon appearing on your desktop. |

| For when Adobe Flash Player IS installed: • Step 1: click directly on the ‘Logbook – Install now” button and click on “yes” • Step 2: Adobe Air installation process will now start The Matrix Logbook installation will automatically start after Adobe Air has been installed. • Step 3: click on the “Install” button • Step 4: click on the “continue” button and the “terms and conditions” page will appear • Step 5: To proceed, click on the “I agree” button |

The Matrix Logbook installation is now in progress. Once finished, the Logbook application will automatically open. You will find the Logbook icon on your desktop. Using your Matrix logbook: 1. Create a login account. This will entail: a. Choosing a local user name (this is your personal user name) b. Choosing a password of your choice (please note that this password MUST include a capital letter, a number and a “special character”. A special character would be “@, $, % etc). c. Password hint (for remembering your password) 2. The next two fields will be as per your current login details 3. Enter your newly created password and click on “Register” Welcome to the new and advanced Matrix Logbook! |
