A hijacking took place in Randpark Ridge, Randburg on 4 May 2010 and Matrix Recovery Service was requested to dispatch immediately. The vehicle was positioning in Maroeladal, Randburg, and remained stationary for the full course of the recovery. A lookout was placed with the Gauteng Flying Squad while the Matrix Recovery Team recovered the vehicle outside Fourways Hospital in Maroeladal, Randburg. The vehicle was found abandoned and locked with no keys. The client was called to the scene to bring a spare set of keys and he was then escorted back to his office to ensure his safety. A client requested a recovery of their vehicle as when he phoned the driver there was someone else who kept picking up the calls and he would not allow him to speak to the driver. The client feared that his truck might have been hijacked and so he requests Matrix Recovery Service to be dispatched to recover his vehicle.
The vehicle was positioning on the N1 Highway, Parys and moved to Serfontein, Kroonstad. A lookout was placed with the SAPS. The vehicle was recovered and a hijack situation was confirmed. The vehicle was then handed over to a member of the SAPS who handed it back to the client. The hijacked driver was found unharmed and was picked up along the way.
