Delayed notice of theft does not stop Matrix Vehicle Tracking

A vehicle fitted with a Matrix Vehicle Tracking unit was stolen from panelbeaters. Long after the theft, the owner reported the vehicle stolen to Matrix Vehicle Tracking. The recovery teams were immediately dispatched to search for the vehicle.
The vehicle was recovered with a suspect in Mamelodi West. Upon investigating it was confirmed that the vehicle's engine and VIN numbers has been changed and the suspect claimed that he legitimately bought the vehicle.
