Hiding under a tree still gets suspects arrested by Matrix Vehicle Tracking

22 August 2009

What started out as a Matrix Vehicle Tracking not being able to contact a driver ended in a successful recovery of a stolen vehicle. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre started out just monitoring the vehicle and on the confirmation of the customer the recovery teams were dispatched.

The recovery teams searched for the vehicle and subsequently recovered the vehicle in Bartlett, Boksburg with two suspects with the vehicle. Trying to hide under a tree nearby the recovered vehicle was not a good enough escape for the two suspects as the recovery teams found them. The two suspects, one male and one female, was clearly under the influence and were still drinking. The two suspects had a bottle of vodka.

The SAPS was called in and the vehicle and the suspects were handed over for further investigation into the incident.
