Hijacked Truck Recovered

At 13:30 on 19 August 2010, one of Matrix Recovery Service’s agents received a phone call from a client to say that he thought his truck had been hijacked. He said that when he called the driver there sounded like there was a struggle going on and then all communication between himself and the driver was lost.
Matrix Recovery Service immediately dispatched their ground and air services to investigate the situation and alerted the SAPS to put out a lookout.
When Matrix Recovery Service arrived on the scene it turned out that the vehicle had indeed been hijacked in the Parys, Free State area. The vehicle was then located in the Western area and recovered while one suspect was apprehended. The client was updated with the handover details and an arrangement was made to return the vehicle safely back to the client.
