Hijacked and towed vehicle still recovered by Matrix Recovery Services

A customer called into the MiX Telematics National Operations Centre to report that a vehicle was hijacked in the early hours of the morning. The driver was safe and was at the Germiston police station giving the police the information. The vehicle was hijacked in Benrose, Johannesburg. The Matrix Recovery Services were immediately dispatched to recover the hijacked vehicle.
The vehicle was recovered in a towing service company's premises and it was confirmed with the security guard that a guy names Zacharia requested the vehicle to be towed from an accident scene. It was confirmed that there were empty liquor bottles inside the vehicle. The police were informed of the location of the vehicle as the Matrix Recovery Services could not gain entry to the premises to recover the vehicle.
