MiX Telematics recovers stolen vehicle transporting stolen goods in SA

Two armed hijackers who stole a truck with over R300 000 worth of goods in Vosloorus were apprehended by MiX Telematics' Matrix Recovery Services following a dramatic car chase.
When the call came through at 10h55 a Matrix Recovery Services helicopter working in the area was immediately rerouted and within two minutes spotted the suspects. When they had hijacked the truck they locked both the driver and his co-driver in the back of the truck.
The suspects dropped the cargo of goods off in Vosloorus and then realising they had been spotted, hijacked a Nissan Sentra as a getaway vehicle. Matrix Recovery Services called in the SAPS and were able to successfully apprehend both of the suspects.
Once recovered, the two truck drivers were released unharmed from the truck. Matrix Recovery Services teams were also on site to return the cargo and the stolen Sentra.
