The Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre received and alarm and made contact with the customer regarding a Power Down alarm received. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking corporate customer received a call from their customer stating that the engine of the vehicle was on fire. This message was relayed to the Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre.
The Matrix Vehicle Tracking customer could not reach the person who was in control of the vehicle, and requested a tow truck to be dispatched. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking SOS partner was informed and advised to make arrangements. Roadside Assistance services was appointed and dispatched to the scene. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking customer managed to contact the driver of the vehicle and was advised that they were able to extinguish the fire with sand.
Within minutes, Matrix Vehicle Tracking Roadside Assistance towing arrived on scene and towed the vehicle to a workshop based in Benoni.
