Mother and son hijacked, vehicle promptly recovered

02 September 2009

While entering her driveway two armed men approached a Matrix Vehicle Tracking customer in Kew, Johannesburg. She surrendered the vehicle to them and got her son out of the vehicle. Her husband reported the hijacking to the Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre and the recovery teams were immediately dispatched.

The Matrix Vehicle Tracking followed the vehicle as it was driven through Alexandra into Kelvin and then into Buccleuh, Sandton where the vehicle was recovered. The child’s toys and the key of the vehicle were left in the vehicle. The vehicle was handed over to the SAPS for further investigation into the hijacking incident.
