On 10 November 2010 the Matrix Recovery Service Operations Centre received a NoGo alarm from a HI Lux 2.0 s/cab. The Matrix Recovery Service operator on duty immediately called the Matrix Recovery Service client in question to make sure that he was okay and was aware that he has entered into a hijack hot-spot area.
On contact with the client, the Matrix Recovery Service operator was informed by the client that the vehicle had indeed been stolen from his locked garage in Orange Farm, Vaal Triangle. On confirmation of theft, the Matrix Recovery Service operator immediately requested the dispatch of the Matrix Recovery Service agents to the vehicles GPS co-ordinates.
The vehicle was positioning in Clocolan, Free State and moved to the Maseru Border Post. A lookout was placed with the Border post SAPS and the vehicle was recovered at the border, while 1 suspect was apprehended.
