Rolex Gang Strikes Again!

On Saturday 21 May, a Matrix Recovery Service client went to the East Gate mall as he usually does on the weekend with his wife and daughter. They spent about 3 hours there and then left to go visit an old aged home in Jet Park.
When the client arrived at the old age home, a white BMW pulled up behind him at the entrance. The client saw nothing amiss- in fact, he even made way for the car to get into the gate, but that is when they hit. Just 3 weeks after he had bought his first Rolex watch, he became the victim of the Rolex gang who are targeting Ekurhuleni.
2 armed suspects, 1 with 9mm handgun and 1 with a semi-automatic rifle approached the client and asked him to give them his watch and asked his wife to hand over all her jewelry. They then demanded that the client and his family get out of the vehicle and then used it as a getaway car. Luckily the clients daughter managed to keep her cell phone well hidden and used it to contact Matrix Recovery Service once the hijackers were out of site.
Matrix Recovery Service was requested to dispatch ground and air at 13:27. The vehicle was positioning in Jet Park, Boksburg, and remained stationary for the full course of the recovery, where it was recovered at 14:08 and handed over to a member of the SAPS.
