Truck recovered even if suspects managed to get away due to ‘street smart’ driver

As a corporate customer of Matrix Vehicle Tracking was speaking to one of his drivers, he became suspicious of the behaviour of the driver and then realised the driver was in the middle of a hijacking. The driver kept on saying that his braked locked due to one of the air pipes being cut or disconnected and then cuts the call. The Matrix Vehicle Tracking National Operations Centre immediately dispatched the recovery teams and ensured they know they might be dealing with a possible situation where the driver could be still in danger.
The Matrix Vehicle Tracking recovery teams jumped into action and searched for the truck. The vehicle was pulled over on the N12 on the way to Klerkdsdorp and the suspects unfortunately managed to escape the SAPS. The vehicle was handed over to the SAPS for further investigation.
