Truck with valuable cargo found by Matrix Recovery Services

A MiX Telematics customer called in the early morning hours to report that his driver has been hijacked last night by three suspects who tied up the driver and dropped the driver off in the bushes near Heidelberg. It was indicated that the vehicle was hijacked near Klippoortjie.
The Matrix Recovery Services jumped into action to recover the hijacked vehicle. The driver was picked-up at a garage and confirmed that he was tied up and had a blanket over his head. Two of the suspects stayed with him while the third drove off. After he heard the two suspects have left, he ran to the nearest place for help which was the garage in Heidelberg.
The Matrix Recovery Services recovered the vehicle in Longmeadow, Edenvale with the containers still on the truck. The horse was damaged on the inside of the cab. The vehicle was handed over to the North Rand Flying Squad for further investigation into the hijacking incident.
