Ignition Tamper Alarm

This optional feature provides great early-warning in that if the vehicle is started by an unauthorised party, the Matrix Vehicle Tracking MX2 unit immediately notifies the National Operations Centre.

Battery Tamper Alarm

Any attempt to disable or remove the Matrix Vehicle Tracking MX2 unit from the vehicle triggers an alarm.

Over and above the early-warning functionality of the Matrix MX2 unit, an alternative activation of a recovery process following a theft or hijacking of the vehicle entails a telephone call to our National Operations Centre. Upon confirmation of a telephonic report of a vehicle theft from the customer, MiX Telematics Africa will immediately activate the Matrix Vehicle Tracking unit and begin the tracking and recovery process.
