Tax Logbook

Background

It is a know fact that any person with a travel allowance and who claims accordingly would need to present a logbook in order to be eligible for this tax advantage.
Some lucky South Africans already have the Matrix Vehicle Tracking MX3 unit. They would tell you that one of the key - and now proven advanced - features of the Matrix Vehicle Tracking MX3 unit is its ability to automatically generate a logbook!

MiX Telematics has been working closely with SARS in regards to our automated Matrix MX3 Logbook feature. After a thorough investigation into the requirements and standards of SARS, we set out to make sure that the Matrix Logbook matched these standards. Furthermore, in order to make the keeping of a logbook a less taxing affair, we have afforded customers a logbook that is electronic and has an automatically generated format for convenience purposes.

SARS does not formally endorse any third party logbook, but will accept submission of logbook that meet their set of standards and requirements. The matrix MX3 logbook generates an automated logbook that we can confidently say meets these acceptable standards of SARS and thus, may be used going forward for tax claims.
