MiX Telematics’ innovative technology, 24/7 National Operations Centre and dedicated ground and air recovery infrastructure has enabled the company to provide customers with world-class security features.

These security features include:

• FastTrac: In an emergency situation, time is of the essence. FastTrac enables quick positioning of a stolen vehicle, provided GSM coverage is available. This is done by accessing the extensive cell phone networks to track and locate vehicles.
• X-Ray Vision: If a vehicle is taken to a covered area like a warehouse, transport container, or underground parking garage, where standard radio frequency detection is ineffective, we are still able to locate your vehicle with our X-Ray vision feature. Our unique use of the cellular networks allows us to triangulate a vehicle’s position, provided GSM coverage is available.
• Self-Powered Back-up Battery: Each Matrix Vehicle Tracking device is fitted with its own back-up battery. When a vehicle’s battery is disconnected or runs flat, the back-up battery facilitates tracking and recovery.
• Recovery: All recoveries of stolen or hijacked vehicles are free*.
• Battery Tamper Alarm**: Any attempts to disable or remove the Matrix Vehicle Tracking device from the vehicle triggers an alarm notifying our National Operations Centre.
